Thank you for visiting the official website of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane. Our Consulate-General was established in July 2005, with the consular district covering the state of Queensland, Australia. Located in the northeast of Australia, Queensland is rich in energy, agricultural and tourism resources, and is well known as the “Sunshine State”. Its capital city, Brisbane, is Australia’s third-largest city and the host city of the 2032 Summer Olympics. China has long been Queensland’s largest trading partner, with a strong foundation for cooperation in economy, trade, education, tourism and other areas, and broad prospects for cooperation in energy, health, science and technology, among others. Beijing is the world’s first “Dual Olympics” city, and Olympic cooperation will inject fresh vitality into the China-Queensland relationship. As Consul-General of China in Brisbane, I am deeply aware of the honor and great responsibility that come with this position. At present, China is steadily advancing along the blueprint outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan. My colleagues and I at the Consulate-General stand ready to join hands with friends from all sectors in the consular district, follow the important common understandings between our leaders, deepen practical cooperation, enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and contribute our share to the steady and sustained growth of the China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. We will also faithfully fulfill our duties, protect the lawful rights and interests of Chinese citizens and institutions in the consular district in accordance with the law, and provide high-quality and efficient consular services to Chinese and foreign nationals alike.
