China Online Visa Processing System will be officially launched by the Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane on September 15, 2025. Applicants for diplomatic, official or courtesy visas could enjoy convenience of filling out the form and uploading application materials online by visiting https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA.

As from September 15, 2025, the current Chinese Online Visa Application (COVA) system will no longer be used at the Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane.

As from September 15, 2025, Chinese visa applicants holding ordinary passports of Australia and the third country in Queensland should submit their visa applications at the Sydney Chinese Visa Application Service Center.
