On 14 August 2025, Consul-General of China in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze was invited to address at Opening Ceremony of Climate Future & Smart Agriculture Forum 2025 at University of Southern Queensland.

Dr RUAN congratulated the successful opening of the Forum and expressed his sincere gratitude to the insightful individuals who have been dedicated to promoting exchanges and cooperation in agricultural science and technology and education between China and Australia. He said that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s successful visit to China has injected new momentum into bilateral relations. There is great potential for cooperation between China and Australia addressing climate change and developing smart agriculture.

The forum was co-hosted by Lanzhou University and University of Southern Queensland.
