On 8 July 2026, Acting Consul-General YANG Chenqi attended and addressed ACBC Queensland Executive Round Table on the theme of “Trade,Sustainability and Innovation:Planning Now for the Future”. Dr. Christian Rowan MP, ACBC National President Rhys Roberts, ACBC Queensland President Stephen Abbott, ACBC Queensland CEO Gerard Robb and Port of Brisbane CEO Neil Stephens along with senior representatives from many of Queensland’s industry organizations attended the event.

In his remarks, Acting Consul-General Yang shared with the representatives the keynote speech delivered by Premier Li Qiang at the opening ceremony of the 17th Summer Davos Forum, and offered his views on the opportunities and challenges facing current bilateral economic and trade cooperation. He expressed his hope that China-Queensland business communities would seize the "China Opportunity 2.0" to further promote pragmatic bilateral cooperation and foster common development.

The Participants discussed bilateral relations, trade, and other issues, and all expressed optimism about China's development prospects and confidence in deepening cooperation.
