On 13 October, 2025, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Innovation and Technology Show Brisbane by Hong Kong Australia Business Association Queensland Chapter. Julie-Ann Camebell MP, Mr Ricky Chong, Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney were present. It showcases the latest developments in automation, environmental technology, building materials and other technologies at the exhibition.

Consul-General Dr Ruan congratulated this show on its successful three years in Brisbane. He hoped it further plays a bridge connecting Queensland and the Greater Bay Area, and contributes to the win-win economic and trade cooperation.
