On 9 October 2025, the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane held a “Conversation with Dr Consul-General” and the awarding ceremony for “Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad”. Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze delivered a speech and presented certificates to the award-winning students. Deputy Consul-General Ms LI Suyun hosted the event, which was attended by the award recipients, their supervisors, and young diplomats from the Consulate-General.

Dr RUAN congratulated the award-winning students, appreciated the contribution of their supervisors. He also encouraged them to contribute to the friendship and development of China-Australia relations.
