On 26 August 2023, Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze attended Opening Ceremony of the 11th Technicolor Multicultural Festival organized by the Multicultural Community Centre (MCC), and presented awards to the winners of the 2023 "When Koala Meets Panda" School Art Competition.

Consul-General Dr Ruan said, it has been the 7th "When Koala Meets Panda" School Art Competition jointly organized by the Consulate-General and MCC. From the quantity and quality of the works from students of all grades, we are delighted to learn that children fully understand the meaning of "When Koala Meets Panda", and friendship of China-Australia and China-Queensland is deeply rooted in children’s hearts. Queensland's multiculturalism is impressive. Technicolor Multicultural Festival has made positive contributions to building the inclusive community atmosphere.

Director of MCC Ms Jeannie Mok OAM presided over the event. Mr John-Paul Langbroek MP, Lord Mayor of Brisbane Adrian Schrinner, Cr Andrew Wines, Cr Kim Marx and other VIP Guests attended.
