On September 23, Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze met with Mr James Martin, State MP for Stretton.

Dr RUAN said, since the establishment of diplomatic ties 50 years ago, China and Australia have developed bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results, bringing tangible benefits to the economic and social development of the two countries and the improvement of people's lives. There are many overseas Chinese in Queensland who have a long history of living, and have made important contributions to China-Australia friendship and multiculturalism of Queensland.

Mr Martin said, the Chinese community is an important part of the local community, and Chinese culture has a profound impact on Queensland's multiculturalism. I am willing to continue to support overseas Chinese to hold colourful activities. Queensland-China relations are very important.
