Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze Calls on MCC Director Mrs Jeannie Mok OAM

On September 14, Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze visited Multicultural Community Centre and paid a courtesy call to the director (volunteer) Mrs Jeannie Mok OAM.

Dr Ruan said, MCC helped new immigrants with different cultural backgrounds to get trained and employed, making a significant contribution to the community public welfare and Queensland multiculturalism. The Consulate-General has long maintained close friendship with MCC, and will continue to support MCC in hosting various cultural activities, including Chinese New Year night market and When Koala Meets Panda School Art Competition, so as to enhance mutual understanding and foster the evergreen tree of friendship between the peoples of China and Australia, China and Queensland. Dr Ruan also visited classes of childcare and aged care, communicating friendly with the students.

Mrs Mok welcomed Dr Ruan’s visit and said, MCC wishes to maintain contact with the Consulate-General and introduce Chinese culture to Queenslanders.
