Deputy Consul General Mr Yang Chenqi attends Mid-Autumn Gala Meeting hosted by Queensland Chinese Association of Scientists and Engineers (QCASE)

On the evening of September 3rd, 2022, Deputy Consul General Mr Yang Chenqi addressed at the 2022 Mid-Autumn Gala Meeting hosted by Queensland Chinese Association of Scientists and Engineers (QCASE).

Mr Yang said this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. Over the past 50 years, the Sino-Australia relationship has made fruitful achievements on mutual benefit and pragmatic cooperation. A sound and stable Sino-Australia relationship meets with the fundamental interests and common aspirations of the two peoples.

Mr Yang also underlined that QCASE has made important contributions to the development of the local economy, society and multiculturalism, playing an important bridging role in Sino-Australia friendly relations especially in Queensland since its established two decades ago. Along with Queensland government and friends in all walks of life, Consulate-General of PRC in Brisbane will continue to push forward China-Australia relationship with mutual respect to the benefits of the two peoples.

About 120 participants including Members of QCASE, Ms. Li Mingsi, Consul for Education, Mr. Wang Jingwei, Consul for Science and Technology from the Consulate-General also attended the meeting.
