Consul-General RUAN Zongze went to Mackay to hold "Conversation with Dr Consul-General"

From September 2 to 4, Dr RUAN Zongze, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane went to Mackay, Queensland to participate in the Chinese Culture Festival and held a "Conversation with Dr Consul-General" with overseas Chinese in Mackay and Rockhampton. More than 10 overseas Chinese representatives participated in the dialogue.

Consul-General RUAN congratulated the successful holding of the Chinese Cultural Festival and extended Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to the attendees. He said, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. The history over the past half century has proved that mutual benefit and win-win results are the essential characteristics of bilateral relations. At present, China-Australia relations are facing new development opportunities. Your role in helping enhance the understanding and friendship between the two peoples is of great importance. The Consulate-General will, as always, provide high-quality consular services.


The attendees reviewed their entrepreneurial journeys since they came to Australia, thanked Consul-General RUAN for listening to their hearts and needs, and expressed that they would continue to actively integrate into the local community in the future and play a positive role in promoting people-to-people exchanges and friendship between China and Australia.

During his stay in Mackay, Consul-General RUAN also met with Mayor Greg Williamson and the head of the local police station respectively to exchange views on Chinese cultural activities and the safety protection of Chinese citizens.
