Deputy Consul-General Mr YANG Chenqi Attended the MCC Technicolour Festival Opening Ceremony

On August 24th, Deputy Consul-General Mr YANG Chenqi was invited to attend the Technicolour Festival opening ceremony held by Multicultural Community Centre and presented awards to winners of When Koala Meets Panda School Art Competition.


In his speech Mr Yang said, the Technicolour Festival makes significant contributions in promoting communication and understanding among different ethnic groups in Queensland, building a more harmonious and inclusive community, which reflects the beauty of Queensland multiculturalism. The successful hosting of the 6th When Koala Meets Panda School Art Competition has planted the seeds of China-Australia friendship in kids’ minds. The Consulate-General wishes to work with all friends who supports China-Australia, China-Queensland friendship to continue contributing to the strengthening of people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

Director of MCC Mrs Jeannie Mok chaired the event. Others at the event include Queensland Minister of Multicultural Affairs Hon Leanne Linard, Leader of the Opposition Mr David Crisafulli, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Tim Mander, Councilor Andrew Wines.
