On August 18th, Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze paid a courtesy call to the Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment of Queensland Hon. Cameron Dick.

Dr Ruan said, the economies of China and Australia are highly complementary, and practical cooperation in the economic and trade field has always been the backbone of bilateral relations, bringing tangible benefits to the people of the two countries. The Consulate General is willing to work with the Queensland government to promote bilateral cooperation.

Minister Dick welcomed Dr Ruan to take his post. He said, over the past 50 years, Australia and China, as well as Queensland and China have had close contacts in the economic and trade field. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in economy, trade, education, tourism and other fields.

Richard Watson, Acting CEO of Trade and Investment Queensland, Jacqui Heywood, Senior Policy Officer of Office of the Hon Cameron Dick MP,  Consul Lan Yuqiang and Chen Ying from the Consulate-General were also at the meeting.
