Li Keqiang Meets with Newly-appointed Diplomatic Envoys to China

On the afternoon of September 30, 2022, the eve of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Premier Li Keqiang met with 42 newly-appointed diplomatic envoys and representative of relevant countries and institution to China at the Great Hall of the People.

Welcoming the diplomatic envoys and representative to China for assumption of office, Li Keqiang asked them to convey his greetings and regards to leaders of their respective countries and institution. Li Keqiang noted that China is ready to step up exchanges and cooperation with relevant countries for deeper mutual trust and common development. He also expressed the hope that the diplomatic envoys will contribute their part to the development of relations between China and relevant countries, noting that the Chinese government will provide support and facilitation for the diplomatic envoys to perform their duties in China.

Li Keqiang stressed that China will continue to follow the path of peaceful development, adhere to the fundamental state policy of reform and opening up, and remain committed to deepening cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win results. China pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, and is ready to make friends with other countries to jointly uphold the UN-centered international system, practice multilateralism, and safeguard world peace and tranquility and regional stability. By pursuing reform and opening up, China has not only developed itself, but also benefited the world. No matter how the international landscape may evolve, China will only open its door even wider. China is ready to engage in dialogue and communication with other countries to enhance understanding, dispel misconceptions, seek common ground while properly manage differences, and expand and deepen cooperation for greater mutual benefit and win-win results for all.

The diplomatic envoys and representative of relevant countries and institution extended warm congratulations on the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the PRC. They conveyed greetings from leaders of their respective countries and institution to the Chinese leaders and people. They noted that their countries all attach great importance to developing relations with China, and that as diplomatic envoys to China, they are ready to play an active part in promoting bilateral relations and improving respective people's well-being.

The diplomatic envoys and representative then attended the National Day reception at the invitation of Li Keqiang.
