Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze attends Brisbane Airport’s Media Conference

On 13 August 2023, Queensland Minister of Tourism, Sport and Innovation Stirling Hinchcliffe announced that China Southern Airlines will resume the direct flight between Guangzhou and Brisbane on 17 November 2023. Chinese Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze addressed at the media conference.

Dr Ruan said, China is an important part of Queensland’s international visitor market. China announced the resumption of group tours on 10 August 2023, including popular destinations such as Australia. The resumption of the Guangzhou-Brisbane direct flight by China Southern Airlines will further strengthen the economic cooperation and people-to-people exchange between China and Queensland. The Consulate-General will work closely with relevant agencies to provide Chinese tourists a safe and easy travel environment. In the meantime, I hope more Australian friends would visit China.

Brisbane Airport CEO Gert Jan de Graaff, China Southern Regional General Manager Australia and New Zealand Jason Sun, Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Patricia O’Callaghan also attended the media conference.
