On 3rd August 2023, Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze met with Ms Corrine McMillan MP.

Dr RUAN said, China-Australia relationship is stabilizing and improving at present. Exchanges between the Chinese and Queensland governments and other circles are getting more frequent recently. Mutual respect is an important cornerstone of bilateral relations. Queensland’s multiculturalism is also based on respect among different cultures. The Chinese side upholds the concept of openness and inclusiveness. Chinese Modernization will surely bring more opportunities for Australia and other countries around the world.

Ms McMillan said, the Chinese community is an important component of the local society. She is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Consulate-General to provide better service for the local Chinese.
