On 28 April 2025, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane Dr Ruan Zongze met with the House of Representatives for Moreton, Queensland Graham Perrett MP for a friendly exchange. Consul Mr SHI Wenhua was present.

 Dr Ruan expressed the appreciation to the MP for his contributions to deepening China-Australia friendship and supporting the development of the Chinese community. Dr Ruan elaborated the central work conference on neighboring countries, the Chinese position on firmly opposing the United States’ abuse of tariffs and adhering to the One-China Principle.

 Mr Graham Perrett said that being in the Asia-Pacific region, Australia and China are complementary on economy and have huge potencial for cooperation. Bith sides should strenghten collaboratios to cope with challenges ahead.
