On 2 April 2025, Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze met with representatives of the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association Limited (HKABA)Queensland Branch, and exchanged views with the Chamber’s leaders on promoting China-Queensland collaboration in areas such as economic and trade. Deputy Consul-General Mr YANG Chenqi and Consul Mr DONG Yubin were present.
Dr RUAN said that this year's two sessions set the economic target for 2025 at 5 percent, China will bring the greatest certainty to the world of chaos with its sustainable development and high-level opening up. Dr Ruan highlighted that "one country, two systems" has given Hong Kong a unique role, and he hopes that the Hong Kong business community in Queensland will play a good role as a link and bridge to promote China-Queensland collaboration in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education, sports, etc.
President of HKABA QLD Kenny Ma said that the Chamber will strengthen its ties with all sectors in Queensland, to better serve the friendly cooperation between China and Queensland, and to promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
